Synopsis of the film
An inexperienced crowbar-lifting movement tears apart fifty-year-old pine flooring. The squeaking
wood suddenly releases a strong smell from beneath, as if a living organism is defending itself
against the intruder. What we imagine as taking care of our intimate and protective exoskeleton
nowadays feels more like following a survival manual. Over two years of auto-renovation, the author
takes us to the very core of the language we use to tell the story of encountering our own house and
home.
